However, the painting is the work of illustrator Frank R. Paul (who also signed it), who illustrated the article Energy Transfer by Joseph Riley in the December 1925 issue of Radio News magazine. The illustration shows Tesla's tower, and the article cites Tesla's ideas, which is why many attribute this illustration to Tesla.
