Tesla's first laboratory was located in the financial district of New York. The lab was located at 89 Liberty Street, around the corner from the Mutual Union office on Broadway 120. Tesla occupied a room upstairs. The laboratory was equipped only with a desk, a furnace, a dynamo manufactured by Edward Weston, and with several measuring devices.
